Google's Page Rank Discussion Thread

I'm also experiencing this. I noticed that websites that are doesn't optimized well gets PR while websites which are not optimized so much are not gaining PR or worst a PR drop.

 

WOW!, Just yesterday my website http://toontownfansite.com was a PR0.
And now it's a Valid PR2! This is the 1st site I ever made from scratch to be a PR2 ! YAY for me! And it's just a new site. All my other sites are about a year old and only PR1.

 

I started my blog Oct 20th. Roughly two months ago and now some of my pages are showing PR 1 or 2.

My question is why doesn't my homepage show a PR? It's still stuck at 0 and it doesn't make any sense that some of the pages on the website are PR 1 or 2.

Even this says my sports page is PR2. This doesn't make any sense. Am I doing something right by mistake?

Really? Where did you get this information from?

 

My forum went from PR0 to PR1, my website went up from PR0 to PR3, where it was previously, and my twitter page went up to PR4.

 

I actually haven't seen any change in my page rank yet, is this happening for all sites? I know thats a pretty vague question but, where is everyone getting this info from. I don't wanna come home wasted tonight and see I dropped from a 4 to a 3, however it would be nice to get bumped to a 5...

 

I'm just curious how that's even possible, jumping from 2 to 0 and suddenly seoquake showing i have 0 page indexed.. my fear is i've been penalized for something i'm not aware of

 

hahaha damn nice google my blogs got updated increase pR from 15 blogs to 27 blogs, this is prosperous update to me thanks google I love U!

 

This google update was a total rip off for me. This is ridiculous that they PR those stupid auto-blogs and internet litter and throw my sites down when some of them have like 500 hours of work into them.

You're right that the homepage would usually have higher PR than the inner pages. Have you been deep linking to those inner pages with PR? That's one possible explanation. Also whatever Google is currently doing with PR they aren't finished yet.

 

Everything jumped and quite a bit. My squidoo pages are now PR 2, website 3, directory2, but my webmaster forum didn't jump at all. Perhaps this is because I finished building it yesterday.

You know why ? a homepage of one of my websites is now PR3, there are inner pages with PR4 (exactly 3) .. I never linked to these pages (from external websites), and I don't think that anyone will link to them cause they are really insignificant pages ..

Is Google really assigning PR randomly on inner pages ?

In the same website, I was building links for a specific page, got many PR2 and PR3 links, got one PR4 and got 2 PR5 for that specific page, it's now only PR2 .. and the three insignificant pages got PR4 ..

I'm really not happy about this random choice ..

 

simple answer:
because you dan't have enough backlink for showing a PR..

 

maybe I was too late to get a backlink that & thanks a friend for suggesting
