I had problem with my affiliate partner. They paid me for the first invoice (few hundreds dollars only). When I request second payment (few thousands dollars), they told me that they can't pay to my personal bank account, it has to be a business account. But they didn't have problem to pay me for the first time with my personal bank account! When I assigned partnership contract with them, everything was under my personal name. Should I take legal action to take my money back? (they own me more than $15,000) Any advise will be appreciated.
The only reason they might want you to open up a business account might be because they only deposit large sums of money into business accounts? I'm not really sure because I've never been in this situation. Contact them and if they refuse to pay, file a claim with the BBB. Yugo,
If you did not sign up with a business name, they should not require you to open a business account. If there is nothing in their TOS about a business account, then you might want to consult an attorney and have them send a letter. Taking that type of action might get you your money, but likely would cause them to terminate your account and not allow you to participate in the future.
