Better then gmail

I found a Free email provider that is better then gmail, and can connect to facebook. Has anyone ever tried Gmx.com? or gmx.de ' the german version'

I found out about this through my customers and has stopped using Gmail since.

 

I had never heard of GMX. I'll try to test out it.

 

I don't think that gmx can beat gmail. I mean just look at the Google, there's no stopping them.

 

I have also never heard of them before.
Even when something is better it needs promotion and it can't get that much as much as Gmail.

Even though what you say is correct, there is inherent risk in using such services. Gmail is from google and it does have a reputation at risk if it decides to suddenly go pay or stop email services itself. Being a big company, google would be forced to listen and oblige to people's outbursts and reactions while small and unknown company would not!

I'm also more inclined to trust GMail for reliability and uptime issues than a lesser known free email service provider. If Gmail goes down, even for an hour, I guarantee you it will be in the news. If GMX.com goes down I doubt even 90-99% of the people on this forum, who are actively online, will even notice.

 

Why should I go for another one ? As I'm already using google services.

Great idea! Now all those facebook viruses can mutate into email viruses and spread through your address book in addition to your facebook friends list.

As mentioned above by one of my friend, I agree with him.

IMO You never know, they would start paid services. And google being one of the reputed and most reliable services which carry the best reputation in this segment, would be advisable to use.

Why would I switch when I am perfectible satisfied with Gmail.

 

I didn't hear about gmx before its not bad but gmail is better than gmx

 

I've signed up with GMX and it's not bad at all, however I'll be sticking with Gmail and Yahoo.
