Most of us have had bad earnings for the month of July and August. Many say its because does months are slow and i agree. Who has hopes that September is going to be a great month for us publishers?
August has been a great month for us. Increased traffic combined w. higher RPC has left us pretty happy.
I have been averaging $3.00 a day total and that is from 5 sites, using ypn, August has seen the less clicks and RPC ever since joining YPN, I have had more days this month earning better with AdSense on one site, then YPN on 5 sites. It has been horrible for me and my sites, Sep can't get any worse ? I hope lol I mean 5+ sites and total earnings of $3.00 Nine more days and schools start here (Sep 5) hopefully that will be the turn-around
I was using targeting on any pages or sites that had an category closely related. For the most part the ads shown were non related, and non targeting provided closer ads. I am no longer using targeting as targeting with non related ads can get you canned, since they say folks are targeting higher paying subjects to get more earnings.
august has been a challanging month. on 8/3 we had our biggest day ever - then soon after a 45% drop from the previous daily average. now we are running about 15% below pre-august levels. august is a slow business month for many types of offline businesses as well (people go on vacations, etc.) so i am praying that ypn will recover like the offline world. best wishes for everyone for a better sept!
what I have found over course of June 1 ~ August 25th is that... no matter what category you use. YPN gives higher RPC to high CTR sites. I am seeing patterns here. People who get like 0.4% CTR will never get high clicks such as $1 ~ $5.. In conclusion, make a killer blending content, but do not put next to images !! it's a hard task.. i've personally got up to $3.74 on average when I had 9% CTR.. and once i've received $15 a click..
i am not seeing that correlation of ctr and rpc on my end. a higher ctr only means more clicks paying the average rpc, resulting in more revenue, but not an increase in my rpc because of those higher ctr's. if you are correct though in your theory, then higher paying advertisers would be reserved for higher ctr sites, kinda like smartpricing (i think), or that the percentage that ypn pays out for clicks is higher for better ctr sites. sounds logical, but i doubt they are at that level yet and have definately not noticed anything of the sort on my sites. congratz on your successes.
Digiseek have you tried changing the background color of your ads to match the background of your site? Try putting one of the large rectangles above the blog posts. Large rectangles pull better than the vertical banners. Of course the pictures distract from the ads big time...
Well over XX,xxx$ mark in september it was a pretty good month for me. I still wish it would go up higher though no doubt about that. Everyone wishes they would make more money no matter how much they already make.
With 5+ websites and different subjects, I am struggling to make more then $5.00 total from all sites, a day with ypn in August. I think so far this month I have had three days that earned me over $12.00, the rest of the month (August) I have had -$5.00 days...... I have never seen such low ypn earnings. I am sure that switching all sites to AdSense I would make more, I just am waiting to see if Sep 5 or after (when schools start here) ypn rebounds. Before August I had numerous $20.00+ days and some days made $60.00, now I have been struggling to make $5.00
