    Hi
I have a content website and want to create a directory. So the question is what is the best place to do it? Subdomain like directory.domain.com or domain.com/directory?
What is the best way in terms of PR?

    Thanks!

directory.domain.tld is the choise since all big brothers prefer this method and if your main site is not about directory, then it would be nice idea to publish a subdomain account. imho though ;)

domain.com/directory is better and it indexes quick and ranks better i guess.

    Thank you.

My main site is not about directory but about link building. So it's related :)

Thats what I thought too. My site can pass some PR to directory this way right? If it will be on subdomain I will need to build links all over again or I'm wrong?

If you use site/directory you will lose keywords density ratio. If you will use directory/site you will have risk free (there are no penalties transfer from subdomain to domain) solution plus you can control pr flow from subdomain. To refine - the best and safe way is to make subdomain and link to main domain.
