I've spent a lot of time revamping my website, Responder PSE, and I'd like to get some feedback regarding the design and the usability. Thanks, MoPacFan
To begin with, I think you could do with an updated header. The sirens are a good idea but they don't really match the rest of the site. And the logo that reads Responder Public Safety Equipment is quite low quality - it would look better if it was larger and clearer; more legible. The usability is great. It's very easy to navigate thanks to the clear category bar on the side. The order form is clear also. My only suggestion here, is to link the name of the item to the item page, rather than just the image. I naturally went to click the name of the item (IE Axixtech Hawk II LED Deck Light) before realising I had to click the image. This will also help to improve the SEO and indexing of your pages because spiders will crawl the site more effeciently.
The template design and color schemes are old and very simple and i was not impressed on first visit to it.Specially the header image is very poor and need a good looking template overall.
I agree that the header is not fantastic. Not being a graphic artist, it's the best I could come up with. What would you suggest to make it much more interesting and compelling?
