100,000 Posts in 21 Months

I know this is sort of self promoting, but some could take it as inspiration as well.

After 21 months of work on the forum we crossed 100,000 Posts mark today. I know there is long way to go before I can call it a success, but thats a progress.

 

That's definitely a good thing for your forum. I might actually join and become active. I need more forums to promote my websites. Of course, you know I won't spam. Are your forum signatures do-follow or no-follow?

Do you have any advice for a new forum owner? How did you go from no posts to 100,000?

Sure, few things I followed that I think could help others:

• We always worked consistently on marketing. We always try to think out of the box on marketing, along with traditional approaches.
• We always made posts that could be helpful to others.
• We had a good set of friends that works as moderator.
• Not to be afraid to spend part of the earnings on marketing.

I see that you are On page 2 for "Webmaster Forum" Im sure spending earnings on things like adsense helps a lot.

Doesnt look like you are spending much on adsense. Looks like your daily organic traffic is starting to increase

Congratulations! One of my recent forums has exceeded 60k posts in 7 months, so I hope to reach 100k like you in no more than 21 months from launch.

I believe you mean AdWords. Either way, spending on AdWords has absolutely no effect on SERPs as you seem to be implying.

Hey you sure got a good forum there with good activity in relatively short time , will know there now , thanks.

 

My newest forum has 38,000 posts in less than 3 months. I hope to hit 100k somewhere around month 8.

 

Was that all SEO or did u have to spend some marketing $$?

Neither of them are necessarily related to forum activity/posting. I'm not sure why you ask this question every single time somebody has a forum success story.

In order to get forum post/activity you need to do some sort of SEO or marketing and it is related.
