Hey all, just opened: avatarthemovieforum.com And, I'm looking for contructive criticism. If you're interested, check out the contest (sorry for the plug). I tried to keep the design simple, but tied in elements from the theme (Avatar). If you haven't seen the movie yet, see it in 3D.
This design doesn't fit my Avatar vision. You're not selling insurances, give it some more climate. As those above I think it should go darker and maybe it would have some more Avatar spirit which it hasn't now.
I prefer light website layouts. I use to run a forum that was dark, I had to run a light theme for myself.
The structure of the forum is great. Maybe you should try black background, but then other color changes will be needed, to fit the background.
Thank you for the constructive feedback. I might make an alternate "dark" version of that same theme once I get some more time to do so. Basically inverting the colors - white text with black border, etc., but still keep the blue.
Very good idea. Light for people like me, and darker for everyone else. Based on the usage percent, I can then determine the default to use.
