If you're referring to your LCD HDTV website in your footer link, I would assume that it wouldn't rank well since it is ONLY amazon content. You need to provide additional content and value to visitors.

I think it depends on a number of key factors, such as the competitiveness / saturation of your niche, on-page SEO, backlinks etc. I've seen some good affiliate sites ranking above Amazon.com.

Treat your affiliate website as you would with any other site. You should work on marketing it, driving targeted traffic etc.

Well, it depends. Search for "sequin bags" on Google and you will see an example on the first page... in fact it'll be the top result you want to try. ")

Hi, I am new to this forum but not new to amazon. I have a bunch of websites that rank on the first page of google. In fact for some of my products, I have as many as 4 of my pages ranking on the first page.

If you can take some constructive criticism on your site, I would like to give you my first impression.

Your site is a "store" and all of the links go to Amazon. This is your main problem. You have 8 different brands listed in the Nav bar at the top of your site. Get rid of it! That site should be 8 highly targeted sites. One for Visio, One for Sony, One for Panasonic etc. and each LCD TV should have its own page.

Each one of those products on your main page needs its own page and each one of those needs to be SEO'd individually with backlinks to both the review page for the individual product and for the main page. your goal is for the brass ring of a double listing on Google's first page: Your main page and the sub-page that contains your review.

Your SEO for the review page needs to be completely original from the text on the review page. Ultimately you want some of your 2.0 properties on the first page too. It is a lot of work up front but you are a good ways along already so make your product links on your main page there link to your review pages within your site for each product and have all of your links to Amazon on the actual review pages. This will help your site become an "Authority site."

Not sure what the significance of Kt2c is but you can still use it if it has some sentimental value. Just buy kt2cvisio.com etc.

Another benefit to this is that as the different models get deleted and upgraded it is a simple matter of merely setting up a page for the new model with links to Amazon, and changing the links on the older model to point to the new model. Don't delete the old page because you will still get some power for those backlinks.

It is a nice looking site but you made the mistake that the vast majority of Amazon affiliates make: You set up a store.

Pretend you are an affiliate to each individual product, not Amazon as a whole and you will be much more successful.

Think of it this way. If you set out to promote an affiliate product on ClickBank that was about how to succeed in CPA and there were 5 products there and you wanted to promote all of them, you wouldn't put all of them on one site; would you? No, you would set up individual sites and market them separately.

Last thing is your customer reviews. Never give the full review on your site!!!!! Always give a blurb and then a "read the rest of the review here" with a hyperlink to the actual review on Amazon. This encourages them to click the link and to get over to Amazon. Then let amazon sell them. They are very good at it. As long as you get them over there, you get the cookie and anything they buy earns you a commission.

Here is the main problem with your site in a nutshell. I (the consumer) am very encouraged to stay on your site and browse around and then after I am suffering from information overload, I will log off of my computer and "think about it" some more.

Think about this. If I was a customer that was interested in buying a Panasonic VIERA X1 Series TC-L26X1 26-Inch 720p LCD HDTV (which is the first listing on your site) and I managed to get to your site, What is my incentive to click it and go on to buy it? There are a whole lot of reasons for me to stay on your site. I am distracted by the pictures of the other TVs, I am distracted by the other brands listed at the top and the side and I am distracted by the ads you have for CompUSA.

Are you selling Amazon products or are you selling other stuff? These are the questions that you have to ask yourself. You want highly targeted buyer traffic and your site can not be optimized for it as it sits.

I am not trying to pull you down or to be overly hard on you because it looks like you put a lot of hard work into that site. Since you are a hard worker, you have an advantage over a lot of others in this business. Now you just need to do the "right" work and you will make a killing.

If I can help, shoot me a PM.

I have a site that is ranked #1 out of over 4M cometing sites, maintainted this position for over a year and it comes down to both original content, in bound links, custom templates and persistance. The site rakes over 1k a month and has not been touched since June 2009. It uses custom amazon store script and not astore. However, in monitoring the competing sites I have noticed that there are some highly ranked ie: top 5 astore sites, heavily bombed with inbound links. With these sorts of sites, astore only this is what the majority of the serp rank counts on as the sites effectively have no content that is a) original b) optimized to the max for seo.

Dont worry about if something will or will not work, just get out there and try it. Dont procrastinate, as tiger woods did, just do it!

I have a website top page for an amazon product.Very low competition ofcourse. You should focus on specific products, the type of products look to buy.not things that people wish they could buy.

Big G is so weird.. My website is in the first page again. Now, it is Rank #3 (for keyword: mini muffin pan). One thing I've learned so far is you need to do On Page and Off Page SEO simultaneously to get good SERP. I've done both to the website (Amazon Affiliate Website).

Let use wordpress and insert amazon link in your post. my site got page 1 all the time when using wordpress.
My site for example "coolpixreview.com" is about number 4 - 5 in the SERP page with KW "coolpix review".

The #1 factor is your domain name.
