Ok guys, I am promoting this product which usually pays about $45 in commissions. But today, I made a sale and only had $23 in commissions! At first, I thought the vendor might be giving a special offer on the product today. But I checked the sales page and there was no such offer. I also thought it could be a change in product price or commission %-tage. I checked and everything was the same as it has always been, before i stated promoting the product. So can anyone tell me why I just got credited $23 in commissions, not the usual $45?
Have you tried contacting the vendor directly, via his website? That should explain it, unless some other people below have other explanations?
Please check the price of pruduct on the webpage of register. One product may has more than one price.
I see two possibilities: 1. He has an exit agent that offers a discount OR 2. He has collected the email addresses of the leads that you've sent and is offering a special discount to try and drum up more sales But, as another poster said above, just contact the vendor and ask. Any vendor worth their salt will respond to affiliate queries pretty quickly.
Check the Item Number of the sale. Is the item number of the sale any different than the usual item number that you get when you get the regular commission?
I checked the item number. It says 2. But I have always had 1 and 3. Never had 2 before. Maybe this is a special offer or something. ***************** Thanks for your answers guys. I guess i will contact the vendor to ask what happened.
In that case, it is some kind of a upsell, downsell, back end sale or a discounted offer. Since it's a different item, it means you sold a different offer of his product
ok then. I consider this a bonus sale for me then. At least some bucks came in not bad. By the way, I also promote your product (In your sig). Kind of a good converter, though it is bit slow at the moment.
Yes, this is very true. That extra sale most likely could have and maybe should have not been a sale at all. You should be happy you received the commission. A little bonus is never a bad thing. Maybe call it a Christmas bonus, lol.
Contact the vendor and also investigate any similar changes. Perhaps it´s just a mistake or maybe he´s changed the comission and you didn´t notice.
