I don't think you are trying to promote your product dherald. Maybe trying to recruit affiliates a little bit.

He wouldn't be trying to promote ps3 to clickbank marketers.

I'm of two minds, here: I honestly believe the Original Poster did come up with a nice and subtle idea to get more affiliates, but I'm impressed half of the people responding to this thread seem to have easily seen right through the promotional angle.

Digital Point is too smart for its own good!

So what?! I believe dherald isn't advertising, but all you lot trying to chip in on the convo are advertising the hell out of this thread.. no?! I mean isn't that why you all post 'Thanks' or 'I will use' anyway?!

    +Rep to dherald. It's a nice feeling I know.

What's w/ you touchy-feely types? Intentional or not, what you did was ultimately advertising your product. And you've done so in a subtle and clever way, at that! I meant what I said as a compliment.

And like I said, these forums sometimes seem to be getting too suspicious and analytical for their own good. A guilty sin I happen to partake. :)

+rep to OP as proof to self that I can still relate to the sensible stuff.

    Relax,
    P.

It'd be kind of crazy if you're a product owner who didn't want to make his product seem great to potential affiliates. Your main objective was, of course, to just show how you can really help people by being a product creator that creates a high quality product. But I'm sure you didn't miss the fact that posting this would maybe make people stop and say "Hey, an actual quality product on Clickbank! *Gasp* I'm going to give this one a try!" or some such.

Just like I would be crazy if I didn't hope someone would read this post, think I'm a fairly level-headed, reasonable guy, and say "Hey, this guy seems reasonable, maybe I'll click the link in his signature and go to that landing page pushing a CPA offer and fill in my name and email simply because of that!";)

Anyway, I'm glad you made this thread regardless of motives (I do think you guys are honestly just happy you got these pleasant emails and wanted to share, personally). It's nice to know there are people who actually put the time and effort into really helping people with their products, instead of just rehashing info and putting it for sale on Clickbank. Congrats to you guys.

It is good when you get an email from a customer who is satisfied.

Also of course he is advertising his product by doing this, I think everyone knows this, however we are all in the business of making money right?

Or maybe he really does like helping people :p

    Probably a bit of both!

    Good luck to you sir!

    Chris
