Has anyone ever used Proboards forum? It is a free forum service, easy to code, a massive support forum with premade codes for your needs. What are your thoughts on it? Do you think you could create a massive and active forum through them? All thoughts are appreciated.

They are good in terms of their services, but I don't think that it will help in making an active and massive forum. It depends upon your work and forum topic.

I've never heard of them.Thank you and I'll have a try.By the way,a single software or code can't help you build a
massive or active forum. It still need your promotion to get more traffic and members. What's more, the subject of your forum also plays an important role.

Proboards is in the middle of re-coding there software for a new release i think sometime this year. Trust me this new version will be much better along the lines of coding and more features.

Can a forum get huge using them? The answer is Yes and for one example look at this forum http://www.wfigs.proboards.com/index.cgi

Proboards also has the option of you using ya own domain name but the forum is still hosted on there servers in which you go by there TOS. http://support.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=support&action=display&thread=308444

I used to be a Gmod over on the official support forum, but left few years ago to do me wanting to do my own thing online. :)

This year they celebrating 10 years and i've been a member for 7 of them. Each upgrade the forum software get's better and better. If you was a member 7 years ago when i joined, the forum had pop-ups and not many good codes out there to stick on your forum.

This is a free forum host so you can not expect to have all the options a vbulletin forum get's or SMF forum. This just my opinion.

If anyone could possibly create proboards codes as well as make really good looking skins/layouts for the forums I am looking for a possible partnership regarding this. Please feel free to PM me.

I've used ProBoards before. They are pretty good and you can make a good active forum community with them. I would recommend using ZetaBoards though because they allow for better template customization and have better overall service. They are also free.
