    You need to promote your blog in several ways,

    Forum posting,
    blog comment,
    Directory submission,
    RSS feed submission,
    Social networking,
    Article marketing,
    Link building....;)

    And when you write post on your blog your post must be unique + keyword researched.

    Create Back Links, and post useful informative articles which are related to your website, give answers in yahoo answers which have solution in your website and leave a link there

    Traffic will come if Google picks up on one of your blogs that is rich with keyword they link and good titles to match. Good Luck

    If you are writing good contents and getting back links from them then yes you can surely get traffic. But don't try to get too many links in a day or month as this might get your website banned.

    Getting too many backlinks to your website in a day/month doesn't get your site banned by google, but your site temporary will be placed in sandbox for the further check, whether you perform blackhat or whitehat method in getting backlinks. If you perform blackhat method, your website will be banned.
