Have been burned time after time by " gurus" Traffic Equalizer was the most recent. Have opted in for so many my head is spinning. NONE do what they say they will, or can. Always just more" put your email here" Just trying to get started and fed up with all the BS you get when looking for help. Sorry to vent, but where can you go to find some one you can trust? This should give you guys a chuckle. A simple question. Where do you find a trustworthy help idea?

Find a few good make money online blogs, take the free information from them, rather than buying the next hot product.

I agree with vlad621... there are ton of free information out there that you can take advantage of before you pay someone. You should only pay someone if you have been following them for a while... so you can trust their products...

Making money online boils down to traffic conversion. You must first learn to generate and drive traffic. Then learn how to convert that traffic. Internet Marketing is a process, learn and apply.

    Hi Dandy,
It can be quite overcoming with everything that is out there.
And you are right, it often seems that the dishonest outweigh the honest 10 to 1.

What specifically are you trying to do?

Thanks for the input. Just trying to get started possibly with affiliate sales. Looking to make some money working with my computer. Totally green at this. Tried freebie trading, Have had not much success there. Too much risk of false charges on my bank. I have a couple freebie trading websites, basically a waste of time and money. Can change them to something else. Belong to CJ, and CB both.

what specifically you want to do? want to drive traffic to your website? Did you tried SMO (social media optimization), organic seo, article distribution?

trust on the efforts only, there is no readymade solution available.

I agree with the guys on here, get free information from blogs and sites rather than paying for it. My advice would be to look up Bum Marketing and use the techniques on there to make your first payment from CB. That's payment, not sale, you need the money in your bank account. Always.

Then use some of that payment to get your own domain names and hosting accounts to improve upon what you are already doing! If you have questions then google the topic, ask them as comments on blogs or here on DP in the relevant sub-forum. Don't pay for information, software or systems until you can afford it!

    Just my two cents!

See, a lot of marketers are taught to promote in a "niche market" because there is less competition for them to sell a product versus going up against big training programs.

Making money online is such a huge market with so many different strategies -- how to get traffic, how to article market, how to use pay per click, how to blog, etc. This is where the marketer makes his money, but you don't have the whole picture. Just a bunch of techniques.

There is a process to selling online. It's how the customer approaches your salespage, pays and retrieves the product. Once you understand how this is done and you've got a website set up properly, then you can apply traffic techniques such as article marketing, pay per click, getting backlinks, etc. Not the other way around.

A newbie like you needs foundation training first -- the whole picture -- then move on to traffic strategies. Otherwise, you're just spinning your wheels for nothing.

There's so many products out there and produced everyday, it can be quite overwhelming; esp for somebody starting out. What you need to do (like others said) is to find a few blogs with free and proven information. As well...read the better webmaster forums (try sorting your posts by 'rating' to read the choice ones.). There's too many people trying to push products/methods that are outdated, and less effective.
Anyways, good luck; and keep reading the forums, you can learn alot.

Well... I had been paying for a service to learn how to internet market from scratch from two guys that just did a clickbank #1 product. Turns out, one of the guys' wives are pregnant, and because of the hitch and unavailability of the one, the other plus one of his JV partners is keeping the webinar series going, but he dropped the charge.

I guess a lot of gurus out there are scammers, burners and general all around jerks HOWEVER...

That cannot speak for the majority or least just me.

Hey Dandy, I struggled for MONTHS but I think in internet marketing you have to be persistent or you probably don't have what it takes if you're not. I began in July or August, I made a few sales here and there but nothing fantastic.

I then purchased google sniper a couple of days ago (and I am in no way at all affiliated with the product) and I think if it hadn't been for that I would have ended up quitting. I saw straight away all the mistakes that I had made. So I recommend that to start with..... if you're not happy you can get a full refund within 60 days anyway (that goes for any clickbank product)... by e-mailing with a copy of your receipt from clickbank in the e-mail... but you'll probably thank me anyway, and you're welcome. :)Then you can move on to bigger projects like building authority sites but as you're a beginner this is ideal.

All you guys, I`m so glad for all the advice I have been given here. I`ve not thought about quitting, Just trying to learn, and didn`t even know where to start. Did lots of things wrong already. At least I won`t keep doing same thing and getting same results. I`ll give Sniper a try, thanks.
