I've never tried article marketing before and want to try them soon. I wonder on how many unique visitors you can expect to visit your site by posting a good article on to number of directories?
I agree - complete impossible to know. Probably the most important thing is to write about something that has a high demand and are keyword rich for that topic. I recently published an article and it got 100 hits in 24hours. The benefits of article marketing is that your article will remain online forever (unless you personally remove your article). Which means that even though you may not get a lot of hit in the first week or so, it can provide some consistent traffic to your website over very long periods of time. I have found a free resouce that has helped me tremendously in my article marketing - it's a step-by-step guide that goes through everything from setting up your accounts, to researching your articles to publishing as well as tracking the success of those articles. If you would like to know about this resource, let me know.
I understand that article marketing are done by writing an article with your links on it and submit it to number of directories? If so, can you estimate like - at least 5,000 people will read any of your article and 10% of them will click on the link? Or it is not simple as that? Edit: I see, so article marketing may not show its benefits immediately, but it'll help in a long run?
That is correct. Most article directories will not allow you to have links in the body of the article - but you can usuallly have 2 links in your resource box. With regard to traffic - it will depend on your topic. If it's a relative broad topic you may get many views but not may clicks on your links (but this will still create backlinks to your site). If it's an extremely niche topic, you may get less views but more clicks. The other benefits is that ezine and newsletter publishers can actually use and syndicate your articles (providing that they include the author details and resource box) which means that if you article is very good and a newsletter owner send it out to 100000 subscribers you will possibly be smiling. Article Marketing is definitely a long term strategy. It can sometimes work as a short term strategy. If your are new to article marketing, you will need to establish yourself first as well, but this can also in the long term be a positive thing for you are you will be able to distinguish yourself as an expert on a specific topic (and people are more likely to buy from experts).
