I am a total newbie to affiliate programs and internet marketing, and just this day, I had the guts to try it out for the first time ever since I discovered displaying ads on my site gives me money Well, the purpose of this experience log is 1) to keep track of my progress for everybody to comment on the paths I am taking 2) for the other newbies to learn from my mistakes (which will be seen frequently) Prologue: I can say that I am a newbie to making money in the internet. The best that I've reached so far is a $100+ payout from adsense and it only happened once, the first and maybe last (please nooo) that's why i stopped paying attention to it (my host also often messes my site) until it earned lower and lower to 0. That why i end up with the idea to search a new way to earn money online. Not the fast ones or guaranteed ones, but those that requires effort and makes you proud of what you earn - so i ended up on ClickBank. Why CB? Because of all the affiliate programs ive search for, this is the easiest sign-up Ive found congrats to CB guys! Just today, I earned some small $xx from a programming work and after asking my friend to give me a free unmetered hosting package as a gift, I used what I earned to buy a domain.. But before the domain thing, killernichekeywords.com gave me untapped niches and I picked one there. That's why i registered cXXksXXXXX.com... I thought ClickBank is like Amazon where you setup an online store and you have a cart so you choose a product put it in your cart then have it checkedout, LOL! that is my biggest mistake for the day! so now im trapped with a domain (that was intended for an online store) a niche i dont know, and a clickbank account lololol well that's it for today.. im still lacking ideas of what to do or how to manipulate the website to make it clickbank-type suitable.. (if youre interested to know what domain i registered and wanted to help me out, PM me, or post here and I'll PM you) Hoping I'll get this $9 blog to good use soon after this day
Entertaining. Money is money whether you are proud of how you make it or not. So many people join affiliate programs, never read the help files, then wonder why they don't make money.
yes, im thinking of so many things for now... yesterday, i integrated an amazon affiliate shop.. is it okay to merge clickbank with amazon? or it will have a possiblity to drive traffic away? im selling kitchenwares with amazon and recipe books with cb.. yea, well the aff mktg is really a complex topic but most people dont realize it and they dive straight away.. bad thing the pool is often empty yes sir.. maybe ill stick with clickbank for awhile
