I found a great product on Clickbank with tons of potential and affiliate resources, but the problem is that the payment system is set up weirdly. Instead of taking a fixed price, the vendor has a $5 trial for his product, which is an information ebook and not software. That leaves 3$ for the initial sale. Somehow there is an upsale giving $30 more, but nothing is mentioned of this. He is adding a paypal/credit card subscription after 21 days? He claims that the trial is for the full product. Now why would anyone in their right mind pay $47 for that product when they can cancel during those 21 days and still have the product? This smells funny. Looks like he just wants the leads for his future products. The thing is, everything about this product is top professional, from the copy to design and affiliate resources. Have you ever come across something like this?
Yes, there are many similar deals on Clickbank. I don't understand how they hope to get affiliates, though (apart from possibly some very naive newbies?): I certainly wouldn't be willing to be an affiliate for any of them.
I actually tryed being an affiliate for them. It didnt work out I really hope I can get more involved In this Program
well a lot of porn sites use same model. $1 tryout for a day or two and than they rebill. Maybe he is going for same thing?
I was trying to figure out a good product to advertise and could not find it! It took me two days to figure out that I wasnt raising my stakes
Nah, it's not like that. It's not a membership site. It's just a cheap product and then if you don't refund in 21 one days you will get billed. Sort of - try out our system and if it doesn't work then refund. But even if it works you already have the full product, so of course you refund. I think the vendor is trying to build up a brand and wants to get a big list of buyers. It really sucks, because there is a ton of potential and resources available for that product. I have written an email and asked about it, will be interesting what the reply will be if any. Oh yeah, and there's also an opt-in on the site, Alexa I think I read your post and it was only after that I really took notice. I was looking trough Clickbank and some of those vendors even have their own outgoing affiliate links. It defies logic, but they must be counting on newbies. Good thing I was reading up first.
I'm sure this must be right. It's "Upsell City" going on there, isn't it? LOL, well, they might as well "go the whole hog", I suppose!
