creating a directory of directories

what is a good script to use for making a directory of directories ?
kind of what directorysnob.com is doing

for me, phpld it's very good but you must learn them for few days

 

phpLD is not a bad script.

But save yourself time and money and dont get into it. Specially a directory of directory. Unless you are willing to spend a lot of time and money to make one that is in top 3 .

I agree. A directory of directories is probably the most time consuming type of directory you could pick. You really need an ulterior motive to start a directory of directories these days. Like maintaining a list because you do directory submissions for others, or you are in the SEO business, or you need a list for your own personal sites but decide to share it with others, etc. If you're looking to make money you can make a little, but probably not enough to justify the time.

 

I'm still waiting for someone to come up with the answer to OP question:

I'm not talking about just another directory script, I'm taking about script that used by directories list sites

what is your motivation...do you have time to do that or money?

 

Our company is currently processing the same. Budget involved is around 5000-8000$ and trust me when I say that. The more you put in the better it gets.

We have put the project on hold since the funds are currently being used in our new office setup. Regarding the script, its a something better than the best.

 

If you want it to be worth anything at all then you should write your own...with some feature that the other directory lists don't offer. That way you'll have a chance of gathering a following on your list.

 

That would be another way to go.

LOL, at least you won't complaining about badly written script and waste other peoples time

You mean like ABC iT Directory of Directories?

The problem with phpLinkBid script, it became so neglected lately that I wouldn't
recommend it at least owner comes with fixes or new version
