Text Link Ads

Are you using Text Link Ads or an alternative?

I have been using them for a while, but since I started using drupal instead of Wordpress for my blog, I'm not earning a penny. Before going for drupal I was earning close to $400 a month.

So, I'm thinking about trying something new to monetize my blog. Do you think that Text Link Ads is a great option, or do you suggest another company?

TLA is definitely a great option for monetising, especially their InLinks programme.

 

Shouldn't you already know all about this..."slymarketing"?

 

I did know this until everything stopped working after I had to switch to Drupal

 

Why did you move from Wordpress to Drupal?

 

Yeah why did you switch to drupal when you are earning a good amount with TLA in your WP blog?

 

My account (blog) was suspended at my host, and it seemed that the only option was to switch to something other than Wordpress or switch host. You can read my blog post (the long version) called the heaven and hell of blogging.

 

I had a PR3 blog that dropped to PR2 days after I put TLA code. Some experts suggests adding code like that allows Google to know you are selling links. The logic behind it is that Google Bot can see that TLA code, which is easily identifiable.

What did you do instead of using TLA?

 

First I removed TLA code. PR went back to 3 in few weeks. I don't remember the exact time but I think it was few weeks.

People started contacting me for ads. I also used CPA offers with some success.

 

I'm thinking about removing the TLA code as well. But I am thinking about what my other options are, I have never tried cpa.

 

CPA can really generate a lot of cash if done the right way. Also, I tried putting affiliate banners and text links. Those work every once in a while. But I should remind you my site is not high traffic. Only about 200 Uniques a day.

If your site has targeted traffic, CPA and affiliate links can work well for you.

 

Do you recommend any cpa networks?

 

You will have to test them out and check what works best for you. Some big names are Hydra, Neverblues, Azoogle, PepperJam, COPEAC, XY7 etc.

There are many more but these came from the top of head.

Have heard about them but never used them. As I said before people don't have consistent good experience with any one of them.

Sign up with all of them and see which one works best for you.

 

For blogs I think they are ok. For websites I wont probably use them.
