Keyword in Domain, or Not in Domain... help!

I will be starting off a computer retail site online soon...

I really want to create a nice business name for it. However, I'm extremely stuck.

For SEO purposes, for whatever name I choose, should I include the keyword "computers"? in the domain name of my choosing? Or should I go with a catchy Web 2.0 name for the business instead?

I'm so pulled apart by my decision! Help!

And happy holidays to all of you members! :)

I think you should include the keyword in your domain , it will definately be better for people searching through google as if they are looking for computer , many choose if they want to click the site or not by looking at the domain , so better include "computer" in your domain.

Right, if you could get a domain name with your main targeted keywords in, it would be really helpful for your SEO efforts, especially for bing and yahoo. :)

When your starting a business you often want visitors back to the page. The problem is that maybe 20% will remember the name vinix but forget computer. So they will try to type in vinix.com.

Yes, you can include the keyword in your main domain URL. But your keywords are not only limited to your main domain page. It could be used to some of your sub-pages. If so, your sub-pages URL must contain those keywords. It really depends on which page on your site you are trying to optimize the keyword.

Good point here and may I add, although Vinix is a cool name maybe consider using another keyword that describes what your business does with computers- especially on the sub pages of the site.
Example: "VinixComputerResale.com" "VinixComputerService.com" Good luck in your new venture
