hey so am new at this how do i make a copywriteing thingy. for my site and do i need to like totally buy a freaking license i saw one site selling them for around 900$
Uhhhhh, no, Gomer, you do not need one. However, you do need to learn how to write better than an eight-year old.
Hi jackerinc, I'm really wondering what that license is for. I mean, what's it all about. I never really heard of anybody needing a license to start writing anything. Could it be maybe for registering the copyright for your written work?
I believe that many (most?) states in America require you to have a business license of some kind to establish a copywriting business. But that's because you're setting up a business from home, not because it's copywriting. The same is true in some other countries, too. This kind of thing varies a lot between different countries. No, it has nothing to do with that. (Copyrighting isn't the same as copywriting at all).
in most countries (those that support international patent and trademark agreements) anything originally created by you is automatically copyrighted. You would have to be able to prove this in the event you were ever in a court battle over ownership. many believe that simply mailing the document (or whatever it is) and getting a postmark date will suffice in proof of ownership and creation date. Old thinking...but wouldn't hurt. Just remember anything can be stolen even if you are the actual owner\author\creator...it's the lawyers and deepest pockets that win. Not directly, related to copyright's ...You see 'patent pending' every day for tangible items that are direct knockoffs.. it's just a matter of time before they stop selling the items to avoid getting caught - after having made their money, and move on to another. The patent owners may decide to sue.. if it's worth it after the legal and court fees...
There is no need under normal circumstances to copyright your website. But if you want to ......... http://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-protect.html
You will need a license. You cant even spell copyright correctly. Children and the internet these days :<
tlike o m g am totally like 17 am not a kid no more like for sure not. and this is like a serious question so stop like totalin telling me its not jeeez you losers:
I had to obtain a Home Occupation License from the city I live in. Is that what you mean? There is a difference between Copy writing and Copyright which has a symbol of ©.
You will not need a copyright for you site. PS There is really no need to degrade, bash, or cause other DP members embarrassment.
