Adsense vs Kontera vs AdBrite vs Chitika

Guys, how could you compare those? From what I understood Chitika only pays for Search Engine traffic. Kontera and AdBrite has CPC ads just like Adsense. Those who've run all of them on the site site can you share some experience? Maybe shed some light in general terms who pays more?

I pick Adsense because they have the most advertisers, which means more ads to be rotated on your site.

I have tried all of those.

I would rank Adbrite dead last, pathetic results, and kind of sleazy - they will try to sneak you in to some adult content network if you aren't paying attention.

Kontera also very poor, really low EPC, and not friendly to use.

Chitika, maybe I just happened to encounter some fool working for them who couldn't figure out how to navigate to my website because they disapproved me for not having pertinent content, on a Blackberry site, go figure.

Adsense, sucks because it's Google and they have that attitude that they can tell you what content you can have on your site, but they have the most advertisers and if you have a decent niche and volume you can make ok money.

I suggest to use ADSENSE than anyother program, since they have a hugh of advertiser in various categories, and they own by reputable company which is GOOGLE, and they will help you to in running this program.

Adsense would have to be the No 1 choice as once the code is set it runs on autopilot but they are also well known for taking accounts away from people and dont really give a reason why so it would be best to not have all your eggs in one basket,i mainly use adsense but also run clicksor and adbrite but this is mainly to spread the risk on just one form of revenue.

AdSense is the best, as most webmasters prefer it over other ad serving applications, although for individuals who do not want to use AdSense, and are looking for an alternative, then BidVertiser comes second to AdSense.

Adsense is converting best of all in general...
Kontera is good if you have a really content based site especially on forums and blogs since on forums, click rates are low because of ad-blindness but kontera might convert well since it is in-text...
Adbrite gives less yield from all those 4.
Chitika is search engine based but you can use its in-text ads and white space ads too. So if your visitors do not come from search engine they pre-populate the banner with high paying keywords... But if you use kontera, you can't use chitika's in-text ad system since kontera doeant allow to use any other in-text advertising service... including adbrite's in-text ads ;) And Chitika also converts well if your pages can convert to something sells... I mean if your site is about book, music and you review them, most probably chitika convert well since it dislays links to those best selling products...

I am using all 4... although adbrite can not be suggested much :( the rest 3 are just fine ;)

You can use Chitika with AdSense, these two are my favorite ones. Chitika works very well if you have mainly "organic" visitors, the CTR% and EPC is decent, and Chitika ads don't take your AdSense clicks away. A good fit.

I tried AdBrite and really it is not worth it, EPC is so low I don't care. But honestly I don't care that much about AdSense, sure I put some ads on my websites because it is still money, but really you want to affiliate with some serious publishers in your niches. This is where the real money is ;)

I don't know. As soon as I discovered that they were trying to serve adult ads on my site I closed the account and threatened to sue them if they ever associated my site name with their adult content network.

Agree. These are a last resort when there aren't better monetization choices for your site.

ucretsiz, peterzeller and others thanks a lot.. That's a lot of insight for me. Basically one of my sites has generic and direct traffic cos I did a lot of work on Digg/reddit.. and still do. On this one I don't care if it's adult ads they put or not.. Can I out all 4 of them and maybe even Infolinks on my site or they're something wrong with policies?

for adult traffic, only adbrite gives support publicly. Although you can put on banners if account representative finds this, they can frozen your account in other networks.

He suggests you to use pay per lead and pay per lead networks and choose a program suiting your content or create websites and hubpages in squidoo as most does and advertise the pages and try to sell or send leads to those services...
On this forum you will see review of many pay per lead networks. I personally use roirocket with income although many prefer clickbank products and other networks and CJ is one of the biggest of pay per lead/sale networks...
