It was not there last night when I went to sleep, but when I woke up my throat is already soar and I am already having running nose, totally spoiling my whole day today, I didn't do any works, didn't update my blog, everything went on total halt today and I feel totally terrible, adding to the pain the weather is cold here in my place. Anybody has any suggestions to get out of this real quick? I would be finding it difficult to sleep tonight for sure due to this. Please help!!

    regards

Take a bowl full of hot water. Pour some Axe oil or camphor or any other similar thing!

Take a blanket. Cover it fully and show your face against the vapor (vapour) from the hot water. Do this till you get full of swetting!

Do this for 2 to 3 times.

    Thatz it!

Try taking over the counter cold medications but if those don't work you can try having a cup of tea.

Drink these teas whenever onsets of a cold appears:

    - Hyssop Tea
    - Peppermint Cure
    - Comfrey
    - Royal Herbal Tea (when the cold is severe)
    - chamomile (should be done twice a day)
    - Mullein flower tea

Another idea is to take a nice hot bath with using lavendar, rosemary, calendular or chamomile.

    Herbs for colds:

    - Echinacea
    - Andrographis
    - Ginseng
    - Ginger
    - Onion
    - Anise
    - Goldensel
    - Licorice
    - Marsh Mallow (Not to be confused with marsh mellows)
    - Seneca snakeroot
    - slippery elm
    - water crees
    - garlic
    - reishi
    - ashwagandha
    - astragalus
    - maitake
    - suma
    - yarrow
    - peppermint
    - kudzu
    - osha

Hope this helps. Feel better soon.

What ever medicine you take, the cold won't get cured immediately and also if it is cured by any powerful medicine definitely it make more bad effect on your body, I can help you in handling your day normal even though you have cold. Drink ginger or dry ginger coffee without milk, ginger is good medicine for flu and no harm to your body, it boosts up your immune so you can get rid of cold quicker and to help your immune system you can wash your hands frequently with soap and don't touch your nose or eyes with your finger, so you can prevent more germs to enter into your body, and one good remedy for cold is to have a deep and long sleep, but i know it is difficult to sleep with cold, but try to do it by some yoga exercises.
Generally a cold would be persisted for one week in normal immune power human, even you don't take any medicine, you will get cured within a week.

Have a large whisky just before you got bed. That should make you sleep a bit better!

Take non-drowsy Sudafed or Dayquil for day time activities and if you can't sleep at night take Nightquil or a shot of Brandy or have a warm Irish coffee.

Also drink lots of fluids and try and rest a bit. Don't get too crazy with strenuous exercise.

I have caught a cold myself and I know... it is due to irregular and inefficient sleep.... brought about mainly due to festival times!

The working week is already beginning for me and I doubt I will be able to catch up on the lost sleep! :(

    Regards,
