3 billion emails legal?

a email company is offering 3 billion email addresses as well as the fast (around 50k per hour) ability to email such.

They even insist that some of the list is double opt. I'm hoping this is legit as I find no compaints online. . .any thougts?

 

Sounds like it's too good to be true. I'd be careful of this and make sure you know what you're doing when it comes to this. This can get you into legal issues very fast.

Even if you are doing everything cleanly spam is still spam and you can run into problems with it backfiring.

 

So a company is offering to email just under half the world's population? And you don't think there's something wrong with that? Well, they say one is born every minute..

Some? Some of the list? I'm not sure where you live but god know's how many laws you'll end up breaking with regards to Anti-Spam regulations. That's if they do, in fact, send out any emails for you at all. Stay well clear of this company and anything that may possibly involve SPAM.

Absolutely. Stay well clear.

Even if double opt-in was true for everyone in their highly unlikely list, then it wouldn't matter and you wouldn't be protected from anti-spam engines or laws. Why? Because they signed up to another companys list, not yours, so double-opt-in/confirmed opt-in means nothing in regards to any emails you send.

 

I honestly doubt that three BILLION e-mails are going to be given to you. Even if they are, most will be made up and not real. Either way you're going to get into legal trouble.

I`m sure, this is not legal. First of all, people have to say, that they want to get emails ( when open a free mail account or something).

And so many mail can send only gmail or yahoo, hotmail. I doubt, they they offer such service. Well, google at all is not selling such option.

So, it is illegal. When people get Your offer, that will mean, You send this spam. And You, not people sending them for You,might have law problems.

The logic (OR LACK OF ) WENT LIKE THIS!

1. OK, WOULD IT BE HARD TO COME UP WITH THREE BILLION EMAILS (YES AND NO) WORLD WIDE WITH SOME PEOPLE HAVING 3 AND FOUR NOT TO MENTION CORPORATE?

2. WOULD GOOGLE AND BING HAVE A RECORD OF COMPLAINTS FOR THREE BILLION EMAILS BY NOW (IM SURE THEY WOULD BUT I CAN'T FIND THEM)

3.COULD THE COMPANY THAT SELLINTG THEM MAKE MONEY AT 100 BUCKS FOR A 140 BUCKS FOR A THREE CD SET? YES

4.WOULD IT BE POSSIBLE TO AVOID THE SPAMMING LAWS WITH ALL THE DISCLAIMERS/AD NOTICE/UNSUBSCRIBE FEATURES ETC IN OPENING LINE?

NOW REALISTICALLY IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE TO GET A HUNDRED MILLIUON REAL PEOPLE SENT LEGALLY HELL I DONT KNOW LOVE EVERYONES FEEDBACK!

ANYTHING LEGAL BEAT THE SPIDERS AND PHONY TRAFFIC!

 

Realistically you would need about 130Million Ip addresses to do that with because of the Blacklisting problems.
And at $1-4 an Ip that wouldn't be cheap.

I would do some research on Google about the 'Spam King' you can read up what happened to him.

It is fake, myspace does not even have close to that many emails and its the biggest web icon around.

 

According to the 2008 US "CIA WORLD FACTBOOK", there were around 1 BILLION internet users across the globe.

If this were true, given that any one person could have opened anywhere between 20-500 email accounts throughout their lives (I use large numbers to account for email account creation abuse by marketers) then 3 billion is just a drop in the pond -=- the question is whether any part of those 3 billion will be currently functioning, highly responsive leads OR... if they're all people who've never wanted a product a day in their lives...

no complaints... yet. sounds like a joke to me. if it sounds too good to be true it probably is principle never fails.

 

There are so many of these scams around it is unbeleivable.
Common sence should tell anyone that offers like this are BS.

You will find that 99.9% of the emails are to fictisious email addresses that were generated using a random generator.

examples of some of the crap i used to get before I set up a black hole auto dump if the email account does not exist on my site were

how many times do we have to tell people DO NOT get scammed by buying bulk email addresses.
