Good point, I wouldn't suggest promoting full sales pages in traffic exchanges either. I know for a fact that quick loading squeeze pages work wonders though.

I think if you are looking at traffic exchanges from the sense that they only help your alexa ranking that you are missing the point.

Personally when I advertise in traffic exchanges I consider personal branding. We buy from who we like know and trust, so I try my best to have myself out there in front of the same people as much as possible over an extended period of time to increase trust and build relationships.

I remember when I first started that I wanted to buy stuff, but I couldn't at the time, now if someone had offered me the direction I needed to help me earn money, then I would further purchase stuff from them if they continued to offer that quality and help.

I am guess you mean too much "crap" as in ads inside the program, if that is so I agree, as I think extra ads in the members area creates a distraction and takes from the ease of use of the program.

That's a no, if you have google adsense on a site, you do not want to promote that site in a traffic exchange as your adsense can be suspended.

Some of the best pages to promote in traffic exchanges are quick loading squeeze pages that allow you to capture information, so you can build a relationship with those subscribers and make recommendations to them that will help them discover what tools, programs, etc will help them reach their desired goals online.

    Hi John,
sorry for delay in responding but I decided to only do emergency work for my clients over Christmas and New Year.

    To answer your question,

I use a system designed and written by me that ensures the same splash pages are used on all te's at the same time, and are changed in unison every 10 days to prevent familiarity blindness.

The only conclusion I can come to based on the testing I have done with the above method is the smaller ones are probably more responsive because there are less sites in rotatrion so you get seen more.

Happy New Year to you too!

I think you are right, I guess it could be said that the more your sites are seen over time the better response you have.

For instance in the smaller exchanges there are less sites in rotation so your
site comes up more often so it doesn't take long to "brand" that page that you are promoting, it's instinctual for TE users to say "hmm seen this page a few times I wonder what it is..."

Now I am not sure that is isolated solely to the small exchanges though, as this can be done in them, it just takes longer as your site is a little more dispersed between all the other sites, but if you are there consistently over time the "hmmm seen this page a..." effect can happen.
