Adam and Eve (Father and Daughter)

I had a previous post that had an infraction because of the language used but anyway. I think that's just because people got offended buy what was said. Anyway biologically Adam would be Eve's father whether you like to think so or not. All the interbreeding in the future after them would cause people to get weaker over time and go extinct. I said that I personally prefer sharing a common ancestor than be a product of incest. Evolution is also something to be more proud about because of the progress we made over time. Religion was just philosophy from a time when people didn't understand the world.

They really hadn't though this through when making it up. what is supposed to be a simple to understand explanation of the existence of mankind for those hard of thinking soon turns into an incestuous orgy. Pretty disgusting when you think about it.

The question is do most people here believe they are rising apes or a huge product of incest? At least with the evolutionary facts we can be proud to say we are not.

~ Philosophy is not religion and mixes poorly with biology per your incestuous thoughts derived from the Christian bible - The religion lost in the Christian bible is the reformation of mankind not of individuals and was an evolution to the point of your discussion from which the direction taken to this point by some proves not ancestral but change from within. No primates.....

so, if you and your daughter are the only human left in the planet, will you:
    1. try to save the human species, and that will be incest
    2. let the human species extinct.
    3. find another animals and try to make a new species.

personally, i don't have the answer yet, but definitely not the number 3.

So let me get this straight. Your god is so pathetically stupid that he engineered a system of populating the planet that had to be, by it's very flaws, as disgusting as jospeh fritzels rape basement? Is that what you are saying?

That is pretty much what they are stating stOx... isn't it clear?

With option 1 it would go extinct anyway whether you like or not. It's funny that you would even consider number 1.

And Scottland, where men are men, and sheep are scared. I think the same joke exists about Arabs and their camels.

The only thing, "biologically" that Adam gave (provided) to the Creation of Eve, is a rib. No sex was involved in her Creation. Do you not read and research, the Text that Scripture clearly provides, before making such idiotic claims?

By your rationale, we all are the results of "interbreeding" and/or "incest", since we all have the same common origin.

No because having common ancestry doesn't mean same ancestry. Evolution can't happen through interbreeding. We would have died off a long time ago. I didn't say sex was involved but it would be a similar concept to cloning. Eve came from Adam, therefor it is incest from the start.

~ It is disingenuous of an atheist to cherry pick a religious parable - The context of the story from the scribe is not necessarily the same as the act of the Almighty - Obviously the ability to create life would include the package for procreation as desired - The rib of Adam easily is metaphoric as explainable for the uneducated....the short story.

Wouldn't that make it more disingenuous of the theists? All the atheists say is, as it's written, it's a disgusting incestuous story. The theist, on the other hand, says it happened and that it was the best their omniscient god could come up with.

Wouldn't it just make sense for theists to just consider the universe itself God's word. It tells a way different story and a far better one at that. This God would definitely be closer to perfection than the one of the bible. I think it's at least better to think like that when you are in your bubble at least.

~ The bible has always been the problem particularly the story of Jesus - nothing to date has been found to reunite mankind with its creator and for true believers the quest continues similarly to science that seeks answers for solvable pursuits.

~ Adam and Eve were an event of disastrous proportions, should be enough than to grope for a nonexistent allegation....perhaps a discussion of the event and the reason for their dismissal and the sought for solution would be a more suitable discussion - and with the solution will mankind be reunited with its creator or at least be a Just society being worthy of a God as being enough as having one and even creating one with their knowledge for a future world.
