I was hired for this video and paid 50%. After being provided with the script and told the color scheme to use, I did the video. After I delivered the video, I was told to do another color scheme to match his business card and was provided the copy to work from. Without any complaints, I redid the entire video to suit his new requests. Within the video I used a voice software to do the narrative since my microphone was not working and also, I do have a strong southern accent (I'm from Alabama) that may be wrong for the video. The voice software projected a great voice and gave the video a nice professional view. Needless to say, after submitting the new video, this poster was still not satisfied. Anyways, I was doing this video for $20 (for 2 minutes) and it was complete with animations, voice-over and graphics. I was paid 50% upfront and still have the pending 50% left. I have requested that the buyer keep the other half since he is clearly not satisfied and honestly, I am unsure if he will be satisfied with anything. The video is his to keep. Please, next time you hire someone - be clear with your order. Only order when you are 100% sure of what you would like. It not only will save the person that is creating the project some time and prevent frustration, but it will also save you time as well.
