Manually? Are you nuts? What busy webmaster has time for that?

There is no difference whether you do it manually or you do it with a script or software. Directories don't list your method for joining/listing in your profile.

There is no difference in quality between a manual or auto submission. The end result is the same.

If you earn more than 1$ per hour and you do manually directory submission then you are stupid or misinformed.

I use website submitter and it offers 4,000 directories semi automated , it takes you the page and offers a clipboard of your data and you do them one by one.

It s not true ! (for the one saying it won t help !)
I own one software that I bought last year on www.seo-submission-software.com because I don t have the time to spend days on SEO and this software is the only SEO I ever done for my site : after 2 month using it 2 hours a day I reached Google's first page and currently still there ( number 8 or 9 ) with over 2000 backinks !
So when you say it won't help I am sorry but it does... and a lot in my case !

I own 3 directory submisson software: submitsuite, digixmas and submiteaze.

The fastest submitter is digixmas, but it cost you per submission, you need to buy credit. You will spend time answering captcha. My speed is 4 hours for 1000 directories which is quite good I think. Also it seems only submit to phpld sites :D

Submitsuite, I only use it a few times after bought it. Look no special for me.

I like submiteaze. It is not fast. You need to do things manually like register as a new user, you will get the page loaded everytime, so it is slow. But their directory listing is good. If you expect fast submission, don't buy this one. But if you expect quality linkback buy it. It will help you more organized submitting to directories.

    Very cognitive discussion.
3-4 years ago I would agree with those who argue that manual submission is incomparably better than auto. Today directory submitter software became more perfect. Comparison of modern submitter software and manual submission today is like comparing a modern vacuum cleaner and garbage brooms.
I'm saying it from my own experience, because I have been submitting sites manually. Now I use my own software - and it's really faster, more convenient and also qualitatively.

Do not forget about the relevant, verified database of directories and good descriptions for the site. Everything else is the question of speed.

yes, and nowadays, more and more people don't use a software, that is very dangerous once it is Found by search engines. so i think you'd better don't use it.

I list the softwares I use for semi-automated directory submission here: http://www.freemoneyguide.com/free-directory-submission-softwares.html
The choise mof all three is digixmas for me but I paid the submiteaze... as i reviewed there submiteaze is so slow but cheap when compared to the others and also by using those 3+webbased one. you can submit your site over 500 directories without paying a dime ;)

There is WebCeo and IBusiness promoter. Both software have free versions that submit to a limited number of directories (around 50-60 total).
