Hey guys, I want to know is video marketing worth the effort? I have heard that people are doing a lot of money only with video marketing. I just need to know how many videos I should upload per day or maybe per week? It's quantity or quality most important thing? What about the keywords, tittles, description? How to rank on the first page on YouTube for a keyword? Please just give me some tips, maybe you can share some experience. Thanks in advance Baster
I own a video streaming site in the porn niche. While your results probably wont be as high as mine in another niche, I was getting 10 uniques a month until I submit 2 videos to YouTube in November. My November uniques went up to 250, and my December uniques went up to 500. YES, you should video market. As for keywords -- name the title of your video something with the keyword in it, but also make sure the title and picture looks catchy (and PLEASE don't use a hot chick if your niche isn't related to it e_e). Add the keywords you want to optimize for in the youtube keyword list section, then write a small little keyword-rich description of your video. You should make it sound natural, though. Then go post comments (WITHOUT asking people to check out your videos) on related videos. EDIT: OH and don't subscribe to people unless you really care about their videos. Instead, add them as friends.
If you do it right then its surly worthy enough to employ our time. As we all know youtube is the second biggest search engine, so youtube marketing is more than necessary there days.
I would have to say quality over quantity. You can treat your YouTube video link just like your very own site by building links TO the video. That will help bring the video or at least keep it on first page of Google.
I've been doing video marketing for few years. It does pay depending on the amount of work and time you put in. I currently upload from 5 to 10 videos a day. I usually promote digital products and services. I had a lot of success promoting ringtones. I now want to upload 15 per day to see if I can make more money like that. Some tips: 1. Upload relevant videos (related to the product or website you're promoting) 2. Upload as many videos as you can (at least 5 a day) 3. Put your link in the description box (disguise it with tinyurl if it's your affiliate link) 4. Watermark your videos with your URL 5. Link chain your videos using annotations 6. quality as well as quantity 7. Build a friend list (you can use automated software to do this) 8. Keep it short (long videos are boring) I have a blog that explains some of the strategies I use. I also have some tutorials on the subject. Feel free to drop and check them out. Hope this was helpful...
Thanks for the tips, but you didn't mention how many products you are promoting and how much money you earn per month with video marketing. I hope you can tell me if it's not a problem. Thanks Baster
Hell yeah - especially if you have something like TrafficGeyser to submit to multiple video sharing sites.
With ringtones, I've earned a couple of hundreds (I no longer do it, at least not right now). I used to promote about 6 products. I made a little over $300. You have to keep in mind that the traffic is not target, therefore the conversion rate is kind of low. the crucial part is the amount of videos you upload and who watch them. I'm now experimenting witha new strategy. It's taking me some time to set it all up, but hopefully I will get some results before february.
I prefer tubemogul instead of trafficgyser. They basically do the same only tubemogul is free tubemogul+tubetoolbox is the best!
I've done both buying links from popular videos (which brought me around 4k uniques daily from a youtube top 10 vlogger (it was not worth the investment)) when I created relationships with video bloggers for my nich (dating tips and sex advice) this worked quite well. I have a site which may also help a bunch of people in these niches and related niches out. PM me for details. we have some great talents which are also big in YT.
video marketing is great actually, it's worth to try. i just started to try using video marketing. as u see my signature below, i'm using it right now..
It is definitely worth the time, if you have something of high quality. The spammy, short videos, with salacious thumbnails, and misleading headlines, will become less and less effective. If you make something substantial, people will reference it for years to come. Visual learning is preferred by most people. If you actually have a niche that lends itself to daily updates....like real forex trading, the stock market, or real estate, then people will subscribe, comment, and follow your updates. When you spam, you can always make the quick money, but your methods will lose their profit potential with time, and you most often end up with no viable business model.
So how do you people prepare these videos. Any particular softwares ? Some of the people just take down videos use watermarking and then re-upload them. Is that a safe practice ?
I think video marketing is one of the things where both quality and quantity are important. I am using it now and I think it a very good option for CB products. However, recently I am having problems with YT requesting to confirm your registration by receiving SMS message. Is the same thing occuring for you? This happens when creating even the first user account...
Absolutely, I've used it to promote CB products and it works pretty good so far. I never heard of SMS for creating an account. Matter of fact, I just created a new account recently. I have many accounts that I use for different things. Here is an article that might be helpful to you: http://makemoneyutube.blogspot.com/2009/12/20-internet-video-marketing-tips.html
