I dont know whether this has been suggested earlier. Can we have a few child boards (Dedicated hosting offers, Shared hosting offers, Reseller hosting offers, Other hosting offers) under BST >> Services >> Web Hosting? It would be lot easier to find the hosting we are looking for.
Technically every section could benefit from several more child categories, but it would make BST as a whole a much bigger mess. The best option for now at least would be to do a search of that forum to bring up the type you're looking for. Or maybe it's something Shawn could add prefixes for instead.
IMO,this is not the right time for it. Instead,MOD must manage it will before doing any changes to it. There still have a lot of violated rules thread open freely at webhosting section. Yea I think that 1 slides by because it was created about a month before the rules were even in place. Just report them sometimes it can take a couple hours or more before a moderator has time to look through all reports.
Offshore Hosting does not equal warez hosting. Offshore hosting is when the datacenter is not on US soil. Warez Hosting is uploading files you don't have copyrights too on a server weather it be on US or non US soil for download. Offshore hosting should be allowed, warez hosting should not.
I don't see a pressing need for this. Most threads state what they are offering clearly in the thread title. Prefixes could definitely help though. Also some people offer more than one type of hosting, such as both VPS and shared hosting. So we will have many threads asking about the proper section to post hosting offers, wrong section posting problems and so on (Some people will post VPS offers in dedicated section while others will post their thread offering all types of hosting in every child board creating lots of duplicate threads etc).
Most hosting providers offer more than Resellers, Dedicated, Shared...... No reason for sub forums nor prefixes.
