Bluehost and Hostgator loads slow in India

Bluehost and Hostgator loads pretty slow in Asian subcontinent - India.

I get 90% Indian visitors.

On google webmaster tool of articles2u.com under site performance
On average, pages in your site take 5.9 seconds to load (updated on Dec 20, 2009). This is slower than 81% of sites.

How to solve my problem...

Suggest best hosting that loads fast in India.

 

Search for a hosting company which is located in India I've seen some going around here on DigitalPoint, so there are some around. Searching in Google.in might also give you good results for Indian hosting companies

Somehow hostgator looks slower now, too many costumers?

 

If your target audiences are Indian visitors, you should look for a server somewhere around Los Angeles as it has great access speed to Asia regions.

 

I've found the exact opposite the west coast is actually the worse. Most of our customers from India like the east coast as they route through Europe anyways so east coast is better.

 

InFlow, you are right on that. I just did a test with Los Angeles (West Coast) and Washington DC (East Coast) to an India ip, East Coast gives a better result on that

a hosting company located in india might help, but they are all expensive as bandwidth is expensive in inida.

i have been using servers in the US for over 10 years now, and the latency (ping response time) has never been over 300 ms. Are you sure it is very slow? Maybe its because the site is too heavy.

 

holiday week here... ISP is jammed with more user online on holiday season.

No problem with my hosting... Some my friends told, website hosted on bluehost loads very slow in India.

 

I don't think so. So far Hostgator is the best web hosting company I have seen. I moved to Dreamhost after Dreamhost disabled by account for over CPU usage. Still I am on Hostgator shared web hosting, and I enjoy it. The problem might be with your theme or heavy Javascript usage.

yes, all working fine... Webmaster tools shows that 71% of my website loads slower.

 

If 90% of your visotors come from india simply use some web host which has data center in your country or move your website to some company which has better connectivity. Company with good connectivity may be better solution than local company providing average services.

 

Try finding a host that has its servers in southeast asia.
