How much is your Bounce Rate?

Most of my sites' bounce rates are below 50%, I did have couple of sites that had bounce rate above 60% but they dropped below 50% after improving the site's nav functions.

 

Mines around 14% for my gamer site in sig. Which for me must be beginners luck. But yeah generally the lower the bounce rate, the more pages viewed, the more money you have made. If your bounce rate is high, that generally means you are getting very un-targeted traffic or that your content is quite poor. I think the general consensus is that anything above 70% is poor. Anything below that is good!

i have bounce rate of 76% !!!

less than 40% bounce rate is better for web site ranking

 

if the bounce rate is 20% to 35% than it is good. Bounce rate should be less than 50%.

 

Bounce Rate should be as minimum as possible for your site.

Yes, bounce rate should be very low. My site's bounce rate is around 40%. For lower bounce rate I can suggest you to keep quality, useful, unique and relevant content on your website, so that people visit your site and could get something knowledgeable from it.

Effective SEO promotional strategy is also helpful for your website in this regard.

 

Mine is around 72%, i think i should workout something to get it lower. I dont know if it affects serps, but if not then it will be soon in near future.

 

ya u r right.60% bounce rate means your 60 % visitor just visit ur first page.
So It is not good for u.

If a user was searching for something and they found all they needed to know about it on 1 page of your website, they may bounce as you have served your purpose.

Generally I feel that 35-45% is acceptable on a well SEO'd website

You should really look into the matter. Find out some way, as I am looking around though the bounce rate for me isn't that much since it varies continuously from 40% to 60%

Yes, for the site well optimized should surely strike at lower rate but it might not be the case for all of the web pages in the website. But it depends.

 

my site bounce rate is very low. if website have good attractive content then its bounce rate must be law.

 

I'm incline to disagree that a lower bounce rate is good. It depends on your business goals.

If you entire site is designed for PPC, you want your customers to get to shopping cart quickly --- thus being a bounce to another site.

depending on your niche, bounce rates can vary. I have two arcade sites, one trading traffic one not, and the bounce rates are 20% and 60%. Depending on your site 60% may not be that bad if visitors are coming and looking for links to another site or if you have search engine type site or something

 

Okay....bounce rate is something website owners are really concerned but we need to understand some factors that affect the bounce rate.

My website bounce rate has gone up from 40% to 60% after integrating google adsense on the site. I am absolutely fine about it because the source of income is online advertising. I will get the bounce rate down if I remove the ad links but I cannot.

I don't mind my bounce rate going to 100% if my revenue is enhanced by 40%.

 

I have 14% bounce rate on one of my gaming site but another e-commerce site have like 60% though so I'll think it depends on type of the site.

I've been using Clicktale lately to see exactly what my users are doing, it's a bit too expensive imo though.

Warning: I felt like crap after seeing how many people just x'd out of sites I thought were good. It made me start to make higher quality sites.
