Confused: only 1 back-link of my website in google system

I mad many back-links to my site, but when i use google command to check the website link: only one display.

What' s the matter going on??????

 

Google doesnt take all of your back links . It in fact takes a long time to get atleast one indexed.

ypu must be seeing many of your links in Yahoo for sure

i will be greatful if some one can explain the reason behind it.

 

Google only tends to show one when you search google links so use another means like google webmaster tools to see them!

 

Google never shows all the backlinks, for backlinks alwyas prefer Yahoo. Yahoo shows all the backlinks upto date.

you can try using yahoo explorer to check your site backlinks, it provides more accurate than google

 

I also agree with you, google does not show all backlink, use yahoo site explorer for get better results, even the guys of SEOmoz blog also advice for use yahoo site explorer.

 

Yahoo shows all backlinks. It takes some time for google to find some links on sites that are not spidered regularly. They will only show some links in google so just keep working on links instead of worry what links they show.

 

Yup, Google only shows a small sampling of backlinks pointing to your site. But it should be noted that yahoo shows both nofollow and dofollow links, although webmastertools does also show some nofollows time to time.

 

If Google doesn't show all the backlinks, are we certain that backlinks factors into google ranking? It sounds a bit odd to me... Backlinks are such important for good ranking but they don't show... Any thoughts on this?

By the query site:yourdomain.com , you can only see the few backlink, while on google webmaster tool account you can see even more backlinks, but YSE count all backlink that your site gained.

I do not know why google do not show all backlinks by site:yoursite.com , might be google do not want to reveal the secret of backlink of any sites to the competitor.

 

Google also takes longer to update backlinks than other services such as yahoo. Give it time

 

google will index only few back links which is good in their eyes

Google takes long time to show backlinks thats why we get PR too late.
