Hi All, My latest blog is http://www.architecture-student.com I have placed two 300x250 square adsense units in the middle of the page. Had to embed them into a table so that I could get the desired layout. Also, the left hand ad unit is a text-only ad, whereas the right-hand side one is an image-only ad. I thought people might me attracted to the image ad, and then might find something interesting in the text ad unit adjacent to it... Thats on the home page. On individual pages, I have also added a small banner at the top of the post title, and the two square ad units appear at the bottom of the title, just before the beginning of the post message. I also have an Adsense horizontal link unit in the footer... One more thing, I have integrated Google Adsense for Search into the blog. Kindly critique it as well... Please review the ad placement, and tell me how I can improve it, or am I doing something wrong, or breaking some guidelines... Thanks and Cheers!
Perfect ad placement.... you can add vertical link units on the right panel just between recent post and archive... Hope it helps
Hi xtek, I believe youtube vdeo ad units were discontinued a long time ago... Thanks for the comment zeewaqar77. I think right panel Ad increases clutter on the blog, with little returns. So, decided against it... Hi snowscar, the blog is kinda new... My CTR for the past week is zero. I've been getting 100+ impressions a day... What I am worried about is the location of ads might violate some Google TOS... Does any webmaster have any more information about this? I really appreciate all the help... Cheers!
Your tabled ads placement is really good and I have implemented it on some of my websites. IMHO, it looks better when you have the text ad first then the image ads.
That's good website, bro. Specially my wife likes it because she is an architect. How about your visitors and page impressions?
I get few visitors coz the blog is new and not yet into the Google database. CTR is good... around 3% I hope that once the blog is old enough and there is some good content, Google will start sending me some nice traffic..
I just found out that the layout is totally messed up at a lower resolution. I tried 1024 x 768 coz Google Analytics says 22% of my visitors use that resolution. It is devastating! Not good at all. Will have to do something soon... EDIT: Fixed it... There was a Built-in "fluid width script" into the wordpress theme. I had disabled it earlier... Good to know that the layout is fine again...
