Hello Everyone, I am new comer in seo nd thats why i cant understand exact meaning of anchor text, alt tag, title tag, so give me a proper defination of it.plz give me in detail. Thanks and regards Noel
First off welcome! This is the best forum for you to learn everything you need to know about SEO. If you do some internal searches on Digital Points (see the search drop down in top nav) for the terms you are uncertain of you will find all sorts of related threds filled with good info. There is a library on this site (bottom of the page) that is super useful and do not discount wikipedia for straight definitions. I lifted the definition of anchor text from wikipedia for you: The anchor text, link label or link title is the visible, clickable text in a hyperlink. The words contained in the anchor text can determine the ranking that the page will receive by search engines. Since 1998, some web browsers have added the ability to show a tooltip for a hyperlink before it is selected. Not all links have anchor texts because it may be obvious where the link will lead due to the context in which it is used. Anchor texts normally remain below 60 characters. Different browsers will display anchor texts differently. You are off to a good start, good luck
Anchor text: Visible and clickable text (in a hyperlink) Alt tag (alt attribute): Text which is used to replace an element which cannot be rendered Title tag: An HTML tag which defines the page title
Welcome! Always good to see newcomers here. I think the whole thing about anchor text has been explained in par there, but I will add something more. Apart from it being the linkable text, it is also very valuable to you in the way of what keywords are used. As bots use links to travel on, the keywords that are placed on that link are picked up by those bots, and the bots believe that these keywords relate to what is on the other end. As an example: SEO Services That is a link to one of my websites, that will no doubt be telling the bots that the keyword "SEO Services" is what is on the other end of that link. They can also influence what you are listed under in Google.
Use Google and look them all up. it is a very simple process. Thre are lots of SEO glossarys out there
