I have 48,000 blogs. What should I do with them?

For the last eight months I've been using some customized software that allows me to make blogs on wpmu (wordpress multi user) websites around the world.

So as of right now I have around 48,000 unique wordpress blogs on hundreds of unique ips.

I was also able to get some web 2.0 sites near the top of google for some great niches by posting backlinks in my blog posts.

I have also been posting news and music articles with links to cpa and clickbank offers and the sales were good for the first few months.

However, over the last 3 months the sales have slowed down.

I've become bored with the project and have lost my momentum and was hoping a good discussion might inspire something.

I'm looking for new ideas to monetize.

    What would you guys do?

well, how about starting on focusing the top 10 best performing blogs and getting rid of the rest?
then.. how about some uniqe content to be added to these best 10 performing blogs...?

    Give me a thousand

    Keep the other 47,000. :p

Erm , create some articles on the higher paid niche's if your getting traffic then buy some .com domains for your popular blogs.

You can use bidvertiser.com, and adbrite.com for inline advertise (like adsense)
Use reviewme.com and share profit with Your user to review some sites.

Curious...How did you get so many blogs? You didnt create the all yourself, did you buy them from one source?
You can advertise on all the blogs. How many are making money, how many of them are getting more than 1,000 unique visitors a month?

I think I know the answer... everything on the net is so temporary and they are falling down. He talks like they are not worth anything and probably so. Sounds like a valueable thing.

Monetizing with very little traffic sounds like you can make some money, but there again maybe nothing.

Focus on the ones that are making you money (even a little bit) and try to scale them up. Sell the rest. If you use Flippa, you can get a pretty decent price for your blogs if they have a lot of content or are ranked well on Google. I've seen some blogs go for $100 or more that have no income claims at all because of their content or rankings.

    wow these suggestisons sound crap...

oliver you want to turn that stuff into a giant link wheel
categorise all of your blogs by topic and make a few keywrods aroudn the topics... use google keyword tracker or sometthing

if all thsoe blogs are making posts automatically then your going to want t oget hem to link to each other everytime a keyword is mentioned... ie you blog thats about gardening might want to link to one of hte other ones about xbox or something anytiem the gardneing blog says "games" just so long as you make sure different blogs send traffic to different sites within a topic... gotta mix it all up a bit to make it look natural like

if this is all automatic and they are all are automatically making posts your going to be amkaing hundreds of backlinks inside your network of blogs on a daily basis which raises the pr on all of them slolwy by surely

after a few months slowly start putting your money making site on the blogroll links for all of your sites with the anchro text you wanmt as the site title
suddenyl youv got 48000 links from sites that have lots of links going to them from other sites with lots of links goign to them

    BAM!!! instant google ♥

He said he's become bored with the sites so I assume he doesn't want to do all of this. That is why I recommended he sell them if they are worth anything. He makes money and moves on from something that is boring to him.

Also, you may want to proofread your posts before writing them. Even if he wanted to follow your strategy he wouldn't be able to comprehend it.

Contrary to what many believe, quality over quantity is huge with blogging. You'll make more if you focus on 1 or 2 really concentrated blogs that you can devote tons of time and effort to writing in, instead of running over 40,000 blogs where you can barely post to any of them a day and you'll get *maybe* 3 visitors daily to each, if that.

Isn't there networks around (non cpm) that pay you to display banners and then pay you around £5 a month or so in return? I would take your top performing 200 blogs (via traffic) and then earn yourself a nice £1000.00 a month. Obviously 1000 would equate to £5000.00 per month. Depends of course on the quality of these blogs. Google Adsense is always good, as you don't have to re-apply for new sites and from those sheer numbers you should be getting a fair amount of revenue. If you can mix the two methods then that sounds like a perfect combo.

Can't think of the network in question, someone was discussing it on here. Will post a reply here if I find out the name.

Just to add, the OP could always try CPM advertising. Ad Dynamix, Adbrite and AdsDaq all have zero requirements in regards to traffic.:D

There's another isuue of the 48,000 blogs. having them on separate class "C" IP addresses. So this aint gonna happen if they are losers. So I bet they are all on same IP.

The game is harder out there....
