In case anyone is interested, there have been over 100 responses to the dailly revenue poll and the unscientific results show that: 49% make $0 -$5 a day from Adsense 27% make $5 - $25 9% make $25 - $100 3% make $100 - $250 8% make $250 - $500 2% make $500 - $1000 and 3% make more than $1000 a day It's hard to say if these represent true ratios across all who use Adsense, because most of the respondents come from this forum, which probably has a higher percentage of new or relatively new Adsense users than experienced users when compared to the entire population of Adsense users. The other polls haven't reached 100 responses yet. I'll publish those results later.
Yes, it sounds about right. Adsense should be no different to affiliate programs. It's said that 5% of affiliates make 95% of the money.
I just read my post that started the thread and realized that, the way I presented the results of the poll may discourage some from Adsense. I didn't mean to imply that there's a low chance of making serious money with Adsense. All I was saying is that people who are new to Adsense will start off by making only a little money, because they are just learning and their sites may not be mature enough yet. As these people get more experienced and their sites improve, they will begin making more money, and they'll have less reason to hang out here on the DP forums and respond to silly polls like mine. There are plenty of people making big money from Adsense and anyone can make it with persistence, work, and some luck.
3% make $100 - $250 8% make $250 - $500 2% make $500 - $1000 and 3% make more than $1000 a day These numbers seem inflated though. I have seen probably thousands of websites with adsense form a wid spectrum of niches and it is hard to imagine that 16% of them make over 100 a day. That would be roughly 1/6 which seems too high.
I don't see that being that true. It probaly is below 1%. No way 3 out of 100 people that have adsense pretty much live off that and be quite rich. I would actualy think that it's like .01% ... 352,000 a year off of a website.. I'm sure not many people are doing that are. But I am under the 27% which makes between $5 and $10 a day.
Actually, I think the 3% (more than $1000 a day) is probably pretty accurate. Once you graduate from $10/day to $100/day, you begin to see that getting to $1000/day is very possible, especially with multiple web sites. The problem is that with only one web site, there is a kind of plateau that is reached and it's difficult to get beyond it.
The only problem with this poll is that there is no way of knowing whether people are voting for fun or whether they are genuine.
That's true, but it's true for any poll -- or any claim that someone makes on this forum. So you just have to assume that MOST people are answering honestly and take it for what it is -- an unscientific poll.
I really don't see how that is even close to true. There are thousands and thousands of people with adsense on it. I really doubt 3 out of those 100 people are making 1,000 a day. 1,000 a day means you have to be getting some heavy traffic with great CTR and eCPM. I really don't see it being that high. Thats 3% of a chance to be making over 300,000 in a year from home. Something just sounds wrong. Maybe $100 but no way $1,000.
