Venrooy is a popular vendor here. He has had much success with the affiliate crowd here. I have myself promoted some of his products.

It was around 5 months before that I put up some pages to promote the PS3 & Wii Repair guides by 3redlightfix.com

I didn't check it after that time. It was today that I checked the link as I was changing the Yourclick links to marketbay (they changed links on 15th December)

Now the affiliate area at 3redlightfix allows you to change links to their own. It generates a link similar to this: http://www.3redlightfix.com/hg/?a=jyzqnKHYj&p=4

    Now what he is doing:

This scammer has just somehow redirected all the "old" affiliate links to his own.

In Future, while selecting a product to promote, make sure that you use ONLY the Clickbank link and not the vendor's link. Never do this because they may change your link to theirs after a few months.

And Don't Trust This Vendor Anymore. Check if you have any pages up for his products, the same must be true for your links too.

Do add this rule to your general rules for selecting a vendor. If a vendor has such an option to redirect links, there is a possibility that he has an intention to "cheat" in future. Who knows? We shouldn't take chances :)

Good Luck!! And Avoid This Vendor!

All this has been my personal experience. I'd love to hear from you all.

Just checkout his affiliate area, he allows you to create a custom affiliate link. Now I did that like 5 months back. I used that link(and not the normal Clickbank hoplink) on my site. I just checked & that link goes to another affiliate.

Just tested his Link Form generator and it's overwriting cookies and giving affiliate credit to correct ID. Not seeing the problem.

Do you sell big volume for his product?

Yes, I myself created a link before creating this thread and all New Links are fine!! This behavior is only with the old links like mine.

I see what you're saying. Unless other affiliates are having same problems with old links and say something about it, it's just your word against his. No way to verify.

I agree but I'd advise everyone to stay away from vendors that allow you to create such links OR just use the original hoplinks.

I just wanted to convey to Venrooy that he can't keep on doing this & still think that no one will even know what he's doing.

Have you spoke to him about this? It could easily be an isolated error and you have now tarnished his name in public here for all to see.
