Everyone, thank you for your information. Very helpful. My friend told me that you can have only 1 backlink per post, because google only treats 1 post as 1 backlink. So putting multiple links in a signature is useless. Is this true?

Google prefers several anchor text to a text anchor one fixed and description
    Use the two

It's good that you have two type of anchored links to concentrate on.

Try to get unique IP and domain backlink to any one of your anchored keywords.
Don't get 2 different anchored backlinks from same IP and domain.

Anchor text and the respective hyperlink matters - you can choose any as you wish..

IMHO, target one KW for one page..

That is an interesting view, because I see many people here with multiple links in their signature. Thanks though.

Try using one anchor text for iTunes and another for the Amazon gift cards.

yes, i would agree with merlinseo, just go for different back links for different Anchors seperately.
While considering your question, the later would be better

Different anchor links seems like the right thing to do according to traditional guidelines, but don't we have to take into account Google's wonder-wheel/related searches features as a factor when considering anchor text (Yahoo! does it too, btw)

Sorry for the double post. Would it be in my best interest to focus on only one keyword now and if successful, try for another. For example, should I focus on only "free amazon gift card" now and if I am successful, then try "free iTunes gift card?"

    Thanks again.
