Hello, One of my customers wants to position itself on two keywords with low competition, but where he will probably fight hard in one to two years. Its objective is to position 10 sites (different) promoting more or less directly its products / services, and possibly of all position in 1st page. What strategy to adopt to achieve this goal without Google sees clearly into his game and decides to filter one or two sites on the 10? I already thought of: - Avoid any link between them - Not the host with the same provider - Structured differently html - Out of sync updates - Give them different "types" (a forum, a blog, a wiki ...) What would you suggest? -
I would suggest you make one site for his company than have pages such as squidoo, hub pages, wetpaint, eHow, youtube, ezine article, go articles and a few more web 2.0 elements and then rank them all in the top 10. This way is much mroe affective and will drive even more visitors to his site. I used it for one of my clients websites.
you can host all the sites under same host. you can even use the exact same template for all sites. some interlinking can be alloed but too much interlinking linking each site with each other will not be a good idea. as long as you dont do much interlinking, then its ok to use same host, same template, same design, etc. just promote each site seperately
If the sites are all related then why not link between them? I also agree with the previous poster. Create mini pages such as squidoo lens, hubpages, and other blog platforms and then have them link to your sites. Also some sort of promotion can help achieve your goal.
