joomla is a website software for posting articles, reviews, news,,,, stuff like that.

    VBulletin is a forum software.

They are totally different things. Joomla is not a forum, you have a find a forum that will plug into joomla, and then use that forum software.

It depend upon the usage. VBulletin is for bulletin boards & Joomla is more of a portal with plugins and mudules.

vBulletin for forums that's for sure...

But with the recent changes in vB I'm not too into recommending them...

There are countless other options, try them and see which is best for you..

    Joomla and Vbulletin is different
Joomla is the mother of CMS but Vbulletin just for forum
so you can use Joomla and Vbulletin together and with one account type (Integrated system)

Vbulletin and joomla are not in the same league (as posted many times above)

However I am probably unique in that I've used joomla but not Vbulletin so:

Joomla is good for a community based site run by YOU with content by YOU

Vbulletin is good for a community based site run by the COMMUNITY for the

Hope that helps you ;) :)

Joomla is a Content Management System, while vBulletin is a forum script. In Joomla your users can not add content or post anything except comments. While in vBulletin any user can create threads chat with others PM's and lot more. If your site is content based go with Joomla, if you want discussions at your site go with vBulletin.

well if you want to start a forum you need to compare forums. vbulletin should be copmpared to phpbb, MyBB, IPB, SMF, punBB or some other forum. digitalpoint uses vb. but, if you want something thats free then I think phpbb is pretty good as well.
