Is google caffeine is going effective?

Hi all I want to know that google caffeine is going effective? I am really confused about google ranking system? I also discuss my problem but do not get any suitable reply.

If google rank according to the number of backlink then why some websites on top ten with few backlinks and why some other websites not top ten with the same keyword with large amount of backlink?

My blog niche is work at home and I am analyzing backlinks of my competitors, Some of the top ten websites for keyword "work at home" have very few backlinks to their competitor but even they are top.

SO it it some effect of google caffeine or other?

 

1 Good Links = 100+ crappy links.

It's not all about the amount..... You have to look at the quality of links. Are the links relevant? How many outgoing links are on the site linking to you and so on...

More results are not necessarily good because sometime it's more puzzling.

 

But is link for ad posting sites are valuable? The sites that top ten on google for that keyword are getting links from ad posting sites.

What is a quality link compared to a crapy link?

 

As far as I know, when google analyze an backlink, it will consider below:
1, Is the site relevant to your site?
2, Is the page content relevant?
3, What's the anchor text and follow or nofollow?
4, What are the text around your links.
5, What is the place of your links? Like in-context or blogroll?
6, What is the age of the site?
7, What is the age of the page where you have backlinks.
8, What is the age of your backlinks? Is it newly added while others added a few years ago.
9, Is the backlinks spammy comments or?

All in all, is your backlink from authority and aged and relevant site? But I also admit, spammy commets still work,

You are almost right, the linkbuilding resources like directory submission, blog comments etc are devaluated thus link building is becoming hard.

Try to get link from the same niche of your blog, submit article to article directories. Thus you can get some good quality link.

i think it is effective. i checked my site in the serps this morning I was #4 in google for ' motorcycle parts ' for a long time now. i will also drop to #6 at times.

but now I am at #13 and on page 2. a bunch of new sites are now on page one that were not even showing up for that keyword before. im pissed!

 

Don't give up. Keep at it! I know guys who cracked the secrets - not overnight! But they succeed! There is a way!
