If I would like to create a pretty serious website with 100+ pages of content what would be better? Joomla or Drupal? I do not have much programming experience because my web programmer created unique CMS for me. so I am Joomla/Drupal noob. In the future I want to make 10+ web projects What exactly needs to be done to achieve it? - in order to create a theme and that theme would get installed on 10+ web projects and after that it should be customised. for a thing like that what would be beter joomla or drupal? I heard that Joomla is very easy to hack into... Also I heard that its possible to make a Joomla template/theme just from a psd file. So lets say the site is http://www.rakebackinn.com - how much it would cost to convert site like this from psd? Or create a theme? Thank you
as a newbie I found joomla to be more easier to understand than drupal. The node concept of drupal took long of time to learn. I would recommend you to use joomla instead of joomla
I'd go with Joomla, just because I feel it has a large amount of addons and user community. If I can't get an addon to work, I always find a dozen others that will. Your site is definitely doable on joomla. For easy template creation, the best program out there is called "artisteer". Google it, and try the demo. Its quite expensive, but so powerful. Good luck...
Drupal is good only if you have fair amount of experience to work with it, if you wish to kick start something pretty soon - Joomla is what I would recommend.
If you are new, then go with drupal. It will save you the trouble of getting hacked from using joomla. Take a look at the BIG sites that use drupal and joomla. More large sites pick drupal over joomla - and there is a reason for that.
