Things are tough especially now that the world economy is slowing and Google is collecting less revenue from adwords. Google is then passing down those losses by paying peanuts to adsense publishers per click. A few of my sites and blogs are still making money with adsense. Here are two tips I have found helpful in a depressing economy. 1. Deliver really quality content so your site is passed around and bookmarked 2. Think outside the box when it comes to advertising your sites and blogs.
Google is still paying plenty per click. That's just a fact. I am still getting clicks over $5 in certain niches. I have seen no drop in pay per click across my network. I would agree the economy is down, and there are less advertisers in some niches, but in others there are actually plenty of people willing to spend more to gain market share. Once again if you want to make money you have to be aware of where the opportunities are and you have to be willing to shift from one to the next. Thinking outside the box is a tired and worn cliched. All you have to do to make find your market, and give people what they want.
I think that Google is still paying a Good amount while comparing to other PPC, CPC networks. Recession has not made problem to my niche anyway.
I'm still trying to pass my first hurdle of $100 after 4 months of hard work this last month I have slowed down a lot though. I hate how minimum payout is $100 because anything under that is worthless.
The only success secret is having a good quality content site and promote it with white hat SEO methods.
I didn't feel the financial crisis has been bad for adsense at all. I don't know if the CPC has decreased somewhat, but the web traffic is stronger than ever, more people are getting connected and it's not stopping yet.
you are absolutely right.i feel the same way.Recession has not affected most of the adsense publishers at all.
I agree, quality content is very important, but proper placement of adsense unit in popular eye-catching positions is as crucial imho.
I'm now testing 2 different websites, both in a different niche though. The first website has just been getting more content and also some linkbuilding. The second website is the opposite, I'm doing way more backlink building for the very few articles then adding new articles to the site. Combining them would be the best solution ofcourse, but I don't have time for it and I just wanted to test this. Now the best performing one is the second one.. so quality content does help yes, but my small site with many backlinks earns way much more than that bigger website. Just wanted to share it with you and the others. Seems pretty usefull (at least it is for me). - Aquarezz
Well I think there is not much change in Adsense over the past year as far as earnings are concerned.
