    Hi there,
    Seo means Search Engine optimization, It means how to bring your site in top position in any search engine. There are mainly 2 factor to bring your site in top and they are PR and back links. All the SEO channels are only for getting these two things. So try to get good quality back links to improve your site.

    if you dont know anything at all about seo i recommend that you get yourself an ebook or something and start reading (this is what i did when i started off). there are plenty of free resources and ebooks available online.

    but in a nutshell seo (search engine optimization) is about getting organic (free) traffic from search engines by ranking high for some or the other keywords

    To get back links you need to promote your sites by proper way in terms of SEO. You can promote your site through Different SEO channels like forums, directories and article submission, Q/A sites, communities, link exchange, press release submission. You need to concentrate on Do Follow sites only because only Do Follow sites can provide the link juice.

    Commenting on other peoples blogs is probably the easiest way to get back links, look for auto approve blogs. :)

    Hi,

    In my experience the No1 way to get indexed and improve your page rank is by writing articles regularly, finding other blog sites that operate in your niche market ( preferably ones that already have a high PR) and leave a comment on articles you find there. Submit your site details to directories of which there are thousands where you can submit for free, I use a free service called directory submitter which is very good and these three things alone will build up your backlinks substantially but you have to take massive action over time to get there.
