Yes, Facebook is definitely bigger and more popular than myspace at this point. Myspace is really facing a slow death. And its sad because i've spend alot of time tweaking profiles and setting them up for marketing. Myspace has a HUGE problem with spam. Lame rappers and other desperate fame seekers contribute to this the most. Facebook is more simple and is supported by almost everything these days. Even local news stations have a facebook page & xbox just lauched their facebook app recently. Myspace sucks for marketing now. I remember I used to make enough money from advertising to pay rent. But now it's so over-saturated with wackness that nobody even bothers looking for your myspace anymore. MYSPACE = FAIL.
dude isnt myspace a porno site? lol... But facebook is spaming the heck out of my account. I got over 100k invites to events from people that arent even my friends.
I haven't check the statics, but i know i have a Myspace account and Facebook. But, now that i have FaceBook i never go to my Myspace page.. Also, when i talk to friends and co-workers majority of them don't use their MySpace account any more.
Yes - there are more FaceBook accounts - but all the spam on FACEBOOK keeps me using MySpace. I don't mind spinning flashing "THANKS FOR THE ADD" images posted on my profile - but I can see how it would be easier if everyone is made to conform to the almighty FaceBook. Someone previously said that more and more businesses and corporations are using FaceBook to market their ( whatever it is they are marketing ) and so 90% of all my friend invites and other messages are ALL SPAM on Facebook. That's the reason FaceBook is more "popular". It's all the marketers and spammers.... It's not 350 million actual humans that all use facebook - it's BestBuy, and Wal-Mart, the Weather Channel and all of it's on air personalities, their 3 personal accounts, their cat or dogs profiles, Just like MySpace used to have the big problem with before - as some of you call it "Died". It's more popular because all the marketers have left MySpace for FaceBook - because "Chicken Little" said the "Sky is Falling!!!" - and wouldn't you know that everyone followed suit lolol..... Bandwagon effect.... There are lots of people who still make a living off of MySpace alone - trust me on that one - and ask the guy that runs Spuko if Myspace is dead - he's making a CRAP load of money too.... So - if you want TONS of spam - Use FaceBook. If you want to conform - use FaceBook. If you like listening to music and enjoy different looking profiles, don't mind a flashing sign that says "Thanks for the Add" then - relax and use MySpace - MySpace is not Dead. MySpace is ranked higher than any site ran by any member here at DigitalPoint. If you want to market - I say - Use every available avenue to market to your demographic
Are you serious? Do you read the crap that's on Myspace? Its %110 SPAM. And Facebook isn't even bad for spam at all. Not to mention you have the option to block application invites Myspace, for lack of better words, is the white-trash and "gangster" hangout. The overall layout of Myspace sucks. It's trashy all around. And it's traffic has been rapidly declining. It is dying. Facebook is 1000x better.
Myspace had it's day - now it's facebook time, it's just a shame facebook won't allow profile pimping. But at least you can add a html box so you can generate leads from your facebook page.
I guess Facebook surpass Myspace now because of its application. They have loads of interesting games which younger generations and older generations like best to play
i dont think myspace had/has wat it takes to keep people glued on their site. the apps on facebook does xactly that. no big surprise really that facebook would have eventually overtook them
Yes I guess, because most legitimate users are just abandoning or removing their myspace accounts and uses Facebook which is less easy to compromise.
MySpace is definitely still active, it's just that MySpace users have switched to Facebook and they're networking there more than they are on MySpace.
It's obvious that Facebook overtook almost all social networking sites, not just MySpace.. Almost everyday I'm seeing people using Facebook
