Geo Targeting in google sitemaps need advice?

In sitemaps i see a combo box with the list of countries to target a location, but my content can be beneficial to all the people around the world, I do not want to geo target my webpages how to do it.

In the Search results, Country tag is coming next to my search results, This will limit user from entering into my webpage. I need to avoid it how to avoid please help.

If you do not want to set GEO Targeting then don't select any country just leave it disable.

if i selet geo targeting than i will be upper on the search result for this country ? nad other countries wont see my site?

 

I don't think that you can effect search results with this. It is for sorting things only, I guess.

 

As a webmaster, you can control how this feature works by adjusting your Geographic Targeting settings. Log in to Webmaster Tools and choose Site configuration > Settings > Geographic Target. From here you can associate a particular country/region with your site. These settings will determine the name that appears as a region tag. Can you please explain this little more? Where are you seeing this box? What software are you using to generate sitemaps?

if you have submitted your site to google webmaster tool, it can be change by selecting the geographical target you want.

 

Yes you are right , thanks for the info i have done the same thing now my results are free from country tag thanks a lot.

 

Geo targeting Seo is beneficial to the all the locations of the world and it show the particular location results.

 

you are just setting preferences for google.. i believe the result could be viewable first on your selected location..
