WP 2.9 - anyone upgrade yet?

Looks like WP 2.9 final was released today.. Anyone make the jump yet? I dont want to be the first..

I just upgraded my blog.. its really nice.. you can crop and resize the images, deleted posts goes to trash before being deleted completely and lots of nice features added.. Go ahead..

 

I updated to wordpress 2.9 earlier today and it looks really good to me. You can edit images in wordpress, and as the dude above me said - the posts you delete goes to trash and does not get deleted. There's a lot more too, like canonical URL:s. Check it out!

 

2.8.6 was a solid and secure release. I updated WP on my less important sites, but will give a few more days before I change from last known release that's definitely solid. Just in case they forgot about a security hole. From what I could see, there are no major differences. Image editor is bull and trash feature is not much of use for me.

 

Haven't heard of any problems yet, although it's still pretty early. I upgraded a couple of my sites without any issues. The image editor is quite a nice new feature.

Like the above poster, I'll stick with 2.8.6 for a little while on some other sites until the dust settles.

 

i have problem with it i dont know if im the only one facing it or there is other

the problem is when i try to edit the permlink of any post its not allo me to edit it ?? does any one try this????

I have already upgraded to Wordpress 2.9. Everything went smoothly & I tested the problem that you said.
No problem for me

 

This new version is cool, I updated and I checked all the new features but there is some compatibility problems with some plugins like the famous Google XML sitemaps.. It gives an syntax error, when you want to publish or update a post you get that error message, because after updating or publishing, the plugin is called to rebuild the sitemap automatically.. I disabled the plugin and things got back to normal..

no problems here on three blogs with around 20 different plugins running

 

I think he must have fixed it coz it's working for me in 2.9

 

I just upgrade my wordpress yesterday. The new version seems suitable for the theme and plugins that i'm using.

 

Thanks for the info. I think I'm going to upgrade to as all of the issues seem to be sparatic and seem to fix themselves. Sounds like it's more of a CMS now with the trash feature. Good move by Wordpress to add that.
