Looking for a good hosting company that doesn't SCAM you

I'm just getting back into IM after a while and I was wondering if anything has changed in the ways of a good hosting plan. What recommendations do you experienced IM'ers have? Is hostgator still the best, I know it was really good about a year and a half ago. I know I got stiffed by rockethosting and they banned my account for no reason and I was so mad I quit it all together.. So I know to saty away from them.
    Whats your input(s)?
Thanks for the info guys! DP is the best!

HostGator has been absolutely fantastic so far. Very responsive, and willing to go the extra mile to meet your needs.

I've used intersabre.com for years. But they don't put up with abuse or spamming (no quality host does).

I use both Hostgator & Hostmonster. Both provide excellent support 24/7. Hostmonster throws in a free domain name for 12 mth packages - great value!

Both are great affiliate payers too.

I've always used 1and1.com for paid hosting. I'm happy with the pricing and everything else. Never had downtime on my account. They also used to have the banner of the worlds #1 webhost, but they don't carry it anymore.
