I registered this domain towards the end of June 2009 as a personal short URL service for use on twitter etc. Just had a completely OTT valuation from stimator.com and it got me wondering if there is true value in this domain? Personally I love it (short, friendly, two real words for the price of one (nice and nicest)), but is it of any real value (or could it be in the future)? Any thoughts welcome, thanks.
Been doing some forum digging, and here's some of the "auto value" results! stimator.com: $1,263,717 valuate.com: $35 domaintops.com: $470,085 (keyword) $66 (length) estibot: USD reg fee websiteoutlook.com: $876 cubestat.com: $102.93 Also appears the domain may have been in use previously, from as early as 2001 according to archive.org So if anything, I've begun to learn the value of online valuation tools, not my domain name!
I am sorry but estibot is right in this case. It is a realy good keyword,but the ccTLD kills its value. .st is good for hack domain or strong keywords only try to develop it good luck
So nobody here is going to undercut the stimator.com value and try a cheeky $1,000,000 offer? I wont be insulted if you do. I'm liking it as a short URL service for myself. Sure it's not the shortest domain, but seeing as it's just me using it and I start with /a I've got a long way to go before I get longer URLs with /a23F4 or whatever! Anyone have any further ideas or thoughts on value, or even an approach for development using the "nice", "nicest" or "nice.st" theme/keywords? I'd love to know how these domain valuation tools try to figure a value, they vary wildly!
